The 31st FISU Summer World University Games (Chengdu Universiade) is in full swing,with young athletes from all over the world gathering in Chengdu to pursue their dreams. The Chengdu Universiade has also given China an opportunity to shows its technological innovation,and once again demonstrated its determination and confidence in strengthening IPR protection.
Original innovations keep popping up
Torch "Rong Huo", dancing robotic receptionists, and autonomous buses...a number of products are showing off their stunning functions at this grand event that attracts worldwide attention,adding smartness to this athletic event.
As an important symbol and a cultural carrier of the Chengdu Universiade,torch 'Rong Huo' conveys the "innovative,enterprising, practical and dedicated" spirit of the Games to people of the world.
"On top of leaning on proven innovations used at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, we have invoked advanced technologies such as optimized flow and systematically matched design to work out a truly integrated design focusing on the internal combustion system of the torch,"said Li Chunguang, one of the leaders of the torch development team from the No. 31 Institute under the Third Academy of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC).Li elaborated that the team focused on catalytic combustion, flow and combustion simulation to upgrade the original technology, thus perfectly integrating the torch's dazzling shape and the flame's flowing effect, as an attempt to apply more aerospace technologies to the torch design. "We have submitted nearly 20 patent applications so far, including patents for invention and utility model," Li said.
Flexible figures are dancing with the rhyme. They are the "bipedal humanoid robots" developed by Mianyang Leju Robot Technology Co.,Ltd. (Leju Robot), which has assumed the reception duty of the Welcome Center in the Universiade Village.
"Our robots can perform street dance and play soccer, and can turn its head at a large angle," A person in charge of Leju Robot told that the robot applied in the Universiade is China's first small bipedal robot capable of fast walking. Its high- ductility and high- torque composite steering gear has entered the leading ranks in China,and the gait algorithm for the bipedal robot has set new industry records.
During the Universiade, MOGO buses, driverless new energy buses,offer a green and low-carbon transportation experience. The buses are equipped with the "vehicle- roadcloud integrated" system independently developed by MOGO.ai. In addition to autonomous driving, this technology also enables connection of roadside base stations with the cloud,which helps efficiently handle the complex traffic conditions in the Universiade Village during the Games to facilitate the truly intelligent travel. It represents an important example of Chinese technology showcased on the world stage.
IPR protection follows the Universiade
To provide better coverage for the Universiade, China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA)has been on alert since June this year for major events such as the Hangzhou Asian Games and Asian Para Games and the Chengdu Universiade.Before that, CNIPA had approved 10 applications for registration of special marks, including the "Logo of Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games" submitted by the Executive Committee of Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games. As of now,the Chengdu Universiade has published 10 specially protected logos,497 registered copyrights, 12 granted patents, and 89 registered trademarks in China.
"It is one of the important duties of our market regulation departments to effectively protect the IPRs of the special logos of the Universiade as well as the legitimate rights and interests of right holders and users of those logos,"According to the relevant person in charge of the Administration of Sichuan province for Market Regulation,the administration launched a special action on April 24 this year to protect the IPRs of the special logos of the Chengdu Universiade and prevent them from unauthorized use on product packaging, ornamental or trademark use; it has also heightened protection of key areas such as buildings,tourist attractions, stations and airports around the competition venues in Chengdu, and improved the protection of foreign- related trademarks and other commercial logos.By the end of June, market regulation departments in Sichuan province had waged a total of 2,244 special checks and 989 publicity activities.
As the host city of the Universiade,Chengdu has also kept updating its IPR protection measures.
In addition to organization of training sessions, the Administration for Market Regulation of Chengdu jointly with a number of departments formulated and issued the "Provisions on Intellectual Property Protection for Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games" and "Measures for the Management of Special Logos of Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games", to familiarize law enforcement officers with the scope, applicable laws and regulations, and procedures for the IP protection of special logos of the Universiade. It also participates in inter- agency law enforcement activities and special campaigns for the protection of the Universiade's IPRs.

第31届世界大学生夏季运动会(下称成都大运会)正如火如荼进行中,全世界青年健儿欢聚成都,闪耀青春风采,逐梦大运会。大运会的举办,让世界看到了中国的科技力量和创新活力,也再次彰显了中国加强知识产权保护的决心和信心。
创新如火如荼
大运“蓉火”火炬、会跳舞的迎宾机器人、自动驾驶巴士……在这场举世瞩目的大型赛事上,一批“黑科技”产品使出“十八般武艺”,智慧赋能大运会。
作为成都大运会的重要象征和文化载体,“蓉火”火炬向世界人民传递着“创新、进取、实干、奉献”的大运精神。
“我们在充分借鉴2008年北京奥运会和北京2022年冬奥会创新成果的基础上,采用优化流动、系统匹配设计等先进技术,围绕火炬内部燃烧系统形成了真正的一体化设计。”中国航天科工集团三院31所火炬研制团队负责人之一李春光介绍,团队重点围绕催化燃烧、流动和燃烧的仿真模拟等方面,对原有技术进行了提质升级,实现“蓉火”火炬炫彩造型与火焰灵动飘逸效果的完美融合,将更多的航天科技应用到火炬设计当中。“我们围绕火炬研制,分别提交了发明专利和实用新型专利申请,目前已累计提交近20件专利申请。”李春光说。
灵活的身躯、动感的舞姿……由绵阳乐聚机器人技术有限公司(下称绵阳乐聚)研发的“双足仿人形机器人”承担起大运村欢迎中心的迎宾工作。
“我们这款机器人可以跳街舞、踢足球,头部还可大幅度左右转动。”绵阳乐聚相关负责人介绍,此次在大运会应用的机器人是国内首款可实现快走的小型双足机器人,其高韧性强扭矩复合材料舵机已进入国内领先行列,所搭载的双足机器人步态算法获行业创新纪录。
大运会期间,新能源自动驾驶巴士——MOGO BUS提供了绿色低碳的交通体验。它们搭载了蘑菇车联自主研发的“车路云一体化”系统,使车辆不仅可以自动驾驶,还能与路边的基站和云端连接,高效地应对大运村赛事期间复杂的交通状况,实现真正的智慧出行,是中国科技在世界舞台上的一次重要展示。
保护如影随行
为做好大运会知识产权保护工作,今年6月以来,国家知识产权局对杭州亚运会、亚残运会和成都大运会等重大赛事活动开展预警布局。此前,国家知识产权局对第31届世界大学生夏季运动会执行委员会提交的“2021年第31届世界大学生夏季运动会”等10件特殊标志登记申请予以核准。目前,成都大运会已公告保护特殊标志10件、注册登记大运会著作权497件、公告授权专利12件、国内商标注册89件。
“切实做好大运会特殊标志知识产权保护工作,保障特殊标志权利人和使用人的合法权益,是市场监管部门的重要职责之一。”四川省市场监督管理局有关负责人介绍,今年4月24日,该局启动成都大运会特殊标志知识产权保护专项行动,防范未经授权将成都大运会特殊标志作为商品包装、装潢或商标使用;并加强成都赛区场馆周边建筑物、旅游景区、车站机场等重点区域的治理及涉外商标、其他商业标识权益的保护。截至6月底,四川省各地市场监管部门共计开展专项检查2244次、宣传活动989次。
成都市作为大运会主办城市,知识产权保护措施也在持续“上新”。
成都市知识产权局联合多部门制定印发《成都第31届世界大学生夏季运动会知识产权保护规定》《第31届世界大学生夏季运动会特殊标志管理办法》,通过组织培训,使执法人员切实做到熟悉大运会知识产权特殊标志保护的范围、法规适用、处置流程;同相关部门进行联合执法,开展大运会知识产权保护联合专项行动。
